Janet Huck Ward
Ms. Ward’s law practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning and probate, taxation, general business matters and real estate. Her estate planning experience includes tax planning and drafting of necessary documents for estates of all sizes, including the estate administration of large complex estates and trusts, as well as small estates and trusts. Janet’s probate practice also includes the setting up and overseeing of guardianships and conservatorships for both minor children and disabled adults. In the area of taxation, she has represented taxpayers on income, estate and property tax issues before the Internal Revenue Service, State Board of Tax Appeals, and courts at both the state and federal level. She has represented individuals, small businesses, nonprofit entities and major corporations on a wide range of general business matters, including real estate issues and transactions. Janet was a Certified Public Accountant for a number of years before devoting herself to the practice of law.
