Karsen M. Adams

Ms. Adams focuses her practice at Morris Laing in the areas of oil and gas law, property law, and business law. She joined the firm as an attorney in 2026, having clerked with Morris Laing for two summers and throughout her final year of law school. Karsen works alongside the firm’s experienced attorneys to support clients on a variety of transactional matters, building on her background in contract drafting and negotiation.

Karsen always knew a career in law was the goal. After earning a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Kansas State University, she worked as a legal assistant, gaining a firsthand look at the practice of law before entering law school.

At the University of Kansas School of Law, Karsen sought out opportunities to build real-world transactional skills. She competed in KU’s transactional law competitions, where she drafted contracts and negotiated deals in simulated client scenarios. Those competitions sharpened her ability to identify what matters most to a client, anticipate the other side’s concerns, and translate an agreement into clear, workable language.

Outside the office, Karsen enjoys spending time with her son. She loves baking and cooking and practices yoga to stay balanced. Clients can expect Karsen to bring care, preparation, and attention to detail to every matter she works on.
