Jeffrey A. Wietharn
Mr. Wietharn enjoys working with individuals and large and small business owners. He has a proactive approach to the practice of law, with the intent of foreseeing issues. Jeff also is regularly involved in state and local tax matters, estate planning, probate, and administrative and professional licensing matters. Jeff played an instrumental role in the development and occupancy of Topeka’s Kanza Fire and Central Crossing commerce parks.
After law school, Jeff clerked for Chief Judge Mary Beck Briscoe at the Kansas Court of Appeals. He spent the next 26 years at the Topeka law firm of Coffman, DeFries & Nothern, P.A. Jeff writes for a number of publications, both at the state and national level, including Bloomberg BNA, the Kansas Bar Association, and the Committee on State Taxation. He lectures on a variety of topics for accounting, legal and private organizations. Jeff was recognized in Kansas City’s Ingram’s Magazine in its 40 under Forty edition, and in Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers.
When Jeff is not working on legal matters or publications, he enjoys learning about and playing pinball.
